Hello, PNW Key Clubbers!
I hope you have all had an eventful yet relaxing summer so far! Although you may feel pressured by your friends or social media influencers to partake in extravagant summer activities, know that it is okay to use this time solely for relaxation and self-reflection. You can still have a fulfilling summer by taking time for yourself and occasionally doing something spontaneous. Finding a medium between downtime and activity is the key to revitalizing your energy before the new school year starts back up.
On the topic of summer activities, as some of you may know, ICON 2023 took place from July 4-9 in Anaheim, CA. 47 PNW Key Clubbers were provided with the opportunity to visit the famous Santa Monica Pier, have dinner at Bubba Gump Shrimp Company, spend a day at Disneyland and California Adventure Park, attend a variety of fun, interactive and educational workshops, listen to qualified guest speakers, elect our 2023-2034 International Board, and much, much more!
From this convention experience, I would first like to recognize our two PNW candidates who ran for the position of International Trustee; Chloe Panh and Rabanni Batra. Although these two were not elected to the International Board this year, their engaging and insightful campaigns and caucusing speeches were beyond impressive. Additionally, I am pleased to note that our immediate-past PNW District Governor, Kyle Hanson, was elected as our 2023-2024 Key Club International President. We could not be more proud of our PNW candidates this year for all their hard work, leadership, and service.
Lastly, be sure to stay connected throughout the summer. I will continue to send Biweekly Updates, and the District will continue to be active on Instagram. Our District Committees are hard at work preparing webinars, resources, and other assurance for you all, so be on the lookout. For example, you can learn more about our annual PNW Key Club Days in the next section of this Biweekly.
If you have any questions, concerns, or ideas, please never hesitate to contact me at governor@pnwkeyclub.org or through Instagram @_nola.grace_. Keep up the good work, and continue to stay engaged!

Recently, the Executive Committee hosted an Officer Training Conference (OTC) for officers without Lieutenant Governors and officers that could not attend their LTG’s OTC. Now that this has been conducted, we are pleased to share a recording and slides below.
Hopefully, these resources will help you learn more about your position while getting tips and tricks from the Execs. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions you have about this content.

If you have attended an Officer Training Conference (OTC) this year, please fill out the OTC Feedback Form below as soon as possible. All respondents who complete the survey by Friday, July 28th, will be entered into a drawing for a $25 Amazon Gift Card. The survey results will be incorporated into training materials for the 2024-2025 District Board and future events or opportunities offered by PNW Key Club. Your feedback and involvement is highly appreciated.

Attention all Key Clubbers! On-site Key Club Days 2023 registration has officially opened on the PNW Key Club shop!
Key Club Days are designed to be fun, motivational, and educational, focused on enhancing the membership experience year-round, not just at the District Convention. Tickets are available through the PNW Key Club Shop. The registration deadline for Key Club Day South is Friday, August 11th, and Key Club Day North is Friday, August 25th. Please don’t miss these deadlines, as we won’t offer a late registration option.
Key Club Day South will take place from noon to 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 26th, in Area 4 at Oaks Park.
Key Club Day South on-site divisions are as follows: 44, 45, 62, 64, 65, 66, 70, and 72.
Key Club Day North will take place from noon to 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 9th, in the Cascade Picnic Grove at Wild Waves.
Key Club Day North on-site divisions are as follows: 19/36, 20i, 20m, 21, 22/24, 26, 27, 28, 30, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 38.
If your division is not listed above as an on-site division, your division’s LTG will be hosting an off-site event on the same day the on-site events are taking place, so you can get the same experience as on-site Key Clubbers.
Additionally, this year’s virtual Key Club Days kick-off event will be available to you the night prior to each on-site event for free! This means you’ll get the opportunity to attend high-quality workshops at no cost to you. Keep a look out for the Google Form registration from the district or your division.

The Membership Growth and Reactivation Committee (MGRC) has been working hard to gather and create resources that will help your club prosper and grow when the new school year begins! To make things easy for you, they have created a Linktree that includes tips, tricks, and tools needed to help your club see growth this service year. These resources include guides on how to recruit 8th graders, conduct your club meetings, and much more. The MGRC Committee will continue to share and make resources throughout the year, so make sure to stay up to date by bookmarking the Linktree, which can be found below! If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions for the MGRC Committee, please don’t hesitate to contact our MGRC Chair, Keera Michie, at membership@pnwkeyclub.org

Do you want to learn how to make a real impact – the kind that changes lives and improves the world? Through the Global Leadership Certificate Program, you’ll learn how to get your voice heard and your community’s concerns met. With 39 different courses being offered based on Key Club’s core values of fellowship, leadership, and service, it is guaranteed that this program will not only help you stand out as a candidate for post-secondary education/employment – it will help you become a stronger leader and change maker.

We are pleased to report that nearly all divisions have Lieutenant Governors now, some for the first time in many years. This is all thanks to the help of the advisors and Key Clubbers that nominated eligible students. However, we still need your help! Lieutenant Governors are vital to the health of each Key Club division and serve as the critical connection between the club and district levels. Clubs in divisions that have no Lieutenant Governors lack a consistent source of relevant updates, resources, and leadership.
The following divisions have Lieutenant Governor vacancies.
- Division 9
- Division 13/15/17
- Division 52
- Division 76
- Division 78
If you or anyone you know is from one of these divisions and is interested in serving as a Lieutenant Governor during the 2023-2024 year, please contact me at governor@pnwkeyclub.org or District Administrator Brian Egger at administrator@pnwkeyclub.org for more information. I can assure you that serving on the District Board is an incredible experience and will help you develop your leadership skills.
