Hello, PNW Key Clubbers!
I am so pleased to see that your clubs have been continuing to engage and participate in impactful community service nearing the end of the school year! I know it can be hard to maintain motivation when you’re so close to the finish line, but your efforts to serve your communities have not gone unnoticed.
I would like to emphasize to all new club officers that now is the time to begin preparing for your terms and asking your outgoing club officers any questions you may have before your school year ends for the summer. Outgoing officers have great insights about how their successors can best fulfill their roles and responsibilities and can be one of the most important resources in the organization. If you’re still feeling unprepared heading into the 2023-2024 school year as a new club officer, no need to worry! Your division’s lieutenant governor is currently in the process of hosting your division’s annual Officer Training Conference (OTC).
OTCs are mandatory events held by your division’s lieutenant governor to provide you with the training you need to serve your club to your fullest potential. This standardized PNW club officer training consists of not only position-specific training, but also interactive activities and icebreakers that will allow for your club’s officer board to bond and problem-solve.
If you are a club officer and have not yet received information about your OTC, please contact me. If your division currently has an LTG vacancy (see LTG vacant divisions listed at the bottom of this email) or you were absent for your division’s OTC, please fill out this 2023 Exec OTC Availability Google Form for the Exec OTC that the PNW Executive Committee will be hosting in June.
If you have any questions, concerns, or ideas, please never hesitate to reach out to me at governor@pnwkeyclub.org or through Instagram @_nola.grace_. Keep up the good work and continue to support one another!

From May 19-22, the 2023-2024 PNW District Board took part in its annual Spring Board Meeting at Kiwanis Camp Wa-Ri-Ki in Washougal, WA. Here, your Lieutenant Governors learned about the new District Project, how to host effective PCMs and DCMs, Key Club Days 2023, received training on how to host their OTC, charter new Kiwanis-family clubs in their divisions, and much, much more! If you would like to take a deeper dive into what was discussed and what items were approved at Spring Board 2023, check out the 2023 Spring Board Meeting Minutes produced by our District Secretary, Tin Vo.

It includes ideas and a sample meeting agenda that are sure to make your celebration more meaningful and memorable.
While the End-of-Year Meeting Kit can provide you with ideas for your celebration, what is a better way to honor your seniors than with a gift? Lucky for us, the Kiwanis Family Store makes the job easy. They offer graduate items to honor these exceptional students, who deserve to be recognized for their contributions and accomplishments!

PNW Key Club requires clubs to elect their officers by March 31st. If your club still has not conducted elections, please do so immediately. Keep in mind that your faculty advisor should help oversee the voting process. Once elections are complete, reach out to your Lieutenant Governor to submit the contact information of newly elected officers. If your division does not have a Lieutenant Governor, please contact District Secretary Tin Vo at secretary@pnwkeyclub.org. Submitting contact information is the only way your club can continue to maintain communications with and receive resources directly from the District, which is vital to maintaining the health of your Key Club.
For any questions and concerns, please contact District Administrator Brian Egger at administrator@pnwkeyclub.org.

We are pleased to report that nearly all divisions have Lieutenant Governors now, some for the first time in many years. This is all thanks to the help of the advisors and Key Clubbers that nominated eligible students. However, we still need your help! Lieutenant Governors are vital to the health of each Key Club division and serve as the critical connection between the club and district levels. Clubs in divisions that have no Lieutenant Governors lack a consistent source of relevant updates, resources, and leadership.
The following divisions have Lieutenant Governor vacancies.
- Division 9
- Division 52
- Division 76
- Division 78
If you or anyone you know is from one of these divisions and is interested in serving as a Lieutenant Governor during the 2023-2024 year, please contact me at governor@pnwkeyclub.org or District Administrator Brian Egger at administrator@pnwkeyclub.org for more information. I can assure you that serving on the District Board is an incredible experience and will help you develop your leadership skills.
