Hello, PNW Key Clubbers!

I hope you have all had a smooth transition into the new school year and have been able to balance your school and personal life so far. The beginning of the school year can be stressful for us all, and I would like to share some advice from Key Club International. They can help ensure you have a successful school year:

20 Pieces of Advice for Freshmen From a Senior
Advice for Having a Great Sophomore Year
8 Tips for Navigating Junior Year
Advice for Rising High School Seniors

Additionally, I would like to direct you to our PNW Key Club Linktree. This comprehensive resource contains our latest resources and registration forms for annual PNW events. This resource is not one you want to look past, so make sure to check it out.

Finally, it’s already time to start thinking about collecting dues for the 2023-2024 year because the Member Update Center (MUC) is now open. Make plans now with your advisors for finalizing your club roster in the MUC and submitting payment to Key Club International. Clubs that ensure their payment is received by Key Club International no later than Wednesday, November 1st, will qualify for an early bird dues banner patch and special benefits at DCON 2024. Please remember that only your club secretary and advisors can access the MUC to finalize your roster, so make sure to work with them and your school’s bookkeeper to ensure a smooth dues payment process. If you have any questions on the MUC, please contact Kiwanis International’s Member Services Team at 1-800-KIWANIS.

If you have any questions, concerns, or ideas, please never hesitate to reach out to me at governor@pnwkeyclub.org or through Instagram @nolastenstrom. Keep working to recruit new members and build your community impact!

We are pleased to report that nearly all divisions have Lieutenant Governors now, some for the first time in many years. This is all thanks to the help of the advisors and Key Clubbers who nominated eligible students. However, we still need your help! Lieutenant Governors are vital to the health of each Key Club division and serve as the critical connection between the club and district levels. Clubs in divisions that have no Lieutenant Governors lack a consistent source of relevant updates, resources, and leadership.

The following divisions have Lieutenant Governor vacancies.

  • Division 9
  • Division 52
  • Division 76
  • Division 78

If you or anyone you know is from one of these divisions and is interested in serving as a Lieutenant Governor during the 2023-2024 year, please contact me at governor@pnwkeyclub.org or District Administrator Brian Egger at administrator@pnwkeyclub.org for more information. I can assure you that serving on the District Board is an incredible experience and will help you develop your leadership skills.
