Biweekly Update #10

Hello, Pacific Northwest!

For many of us, school has already started or we will be returning within the next week. With early meetings, freshmen education, and fall recruitment, this season can be a hectic time! I encourage officers to meet frequently with their board to continue planning service projects, meetings, and fall recruitment strategies. This can also be an important time for all members to share their ideas with their club leaders, especially if they are passionate about specific causes and would like to assist club officers in coordinating an event that supports this mission.

Within this Biweekly Update—and the previous newsletter—there are plenty of resources to ensure you are well-equipped for the fall. In addition to these resources, the PNW Key Club standing committees are working hard to prepare for exciting upcoming webinars, including the District Project WebinarPNWOF Webinar, and more. Continue reading to learn about these important webinars, which will further prepare you and your club for the school year.

Please reach out if you have any questions, concerns, or ideas. I wish you all the best start of this school year!

Gavin Ahumada

Erika’s Lighthouse: Give Voice (STARTING SOON)

Start your school year off right with positive mental health. During Suicide Prevention Week September 8-12, Erika’s Lighthouse will promote daily activities as part of its GIVE VOICE campaign. Key Clubs can take part by advancing inclusive school cultures around mental health. Focus on prioritizing mental health education and awareness.

Celebrating Community Week

September 14-20, 2025 is Community Week! As part of this initiative, Key Clubs can partner with their sponsoring Kiwanis Clubs, in addition to local Lions Clubs, Rotary Clubs, and Optimist Clubs. By partnering with other community service organizations during the week of September 14, we can generate an even greater impact. I encourage you to contact your sponsoring Kiwanis Clubs and other community organizations to coordinate a joint service project. Together, let’s celebrate Community Week!
