Hello, PNW Key Club!
I hope you enjoyed a festive Halloween! I am always impressed by the volume of service we accomplish throughout this season, despite the pressure of college applications and routine classwork. Key Clubbers are an incredible group of changemakers!
As we begin November, consider how you can plan in advance. In previous Biweekly Updates, I have outlined the importance of time management, goals, and organized planning. Now is the time to further incorporate these tools. With exciting holidays in the near future, DCON, in particular, will approach even more quickly. Thus, I urge you to begin preparing now by utilizing various available resources, including the DCON 2026 Registration Packet, the Registration Checklist, and the many other tools included on the DCON 2026 website.
These skills in time management, goal-setting, and planning can also help you remain engaged in your club and divisional service projects. By organizing your time, you can balance other extracurricular activities and commitments with your passion for community service and the Key Club community.
Throughout this busy season, please always feel free to contact me with any questions, ideas, or feedback. I am always happy to help!
I wish you all an excellent start to your November!
In Care and Service,
Gavin Ahumada

2025 Membership Campaign INCENTIVES
To achieve a district membership goal of 13,400 Key Clubbers, the PNW Membership Growth and Reactivation Committee (MGRC) is working hard to support clubs through individual appointments and the promotion of resources. The MGRC has also identified unique and exciting incentives for clubs that achieve and exceed their club membership goals! These incentives include the following:
Special Pins and Ribbons
- Incentive: Members attending DCON from clubs that achieved their published membership goal for the 2025-2026 year will receive special membership pins and ribbons at DCON 2026. These pins and ribbons will only be available to members of clubs that achieved their 2025-2026 membership goal and who are registered to attend DCON 2026.
Governor’s Reception Invitation
- Incentive: Clubs that achieved a membership count that is 25% or more above their published goal for the 2025-2026 year will be invited to a special reception with the District Board at DCON 2026. There will be food available for attendees, and the District Board and Executive Committee will be present during the event.
These incentives will serve as a demonstration of appreciation for the immense efforts invested by officers as we all collectively strive to achieve our membership goals this year. Please reach out if you need support in achieving your club membership goals!

Faculty Advisor Appreciation Week: November 10-14
Attention, Key Clubbers! Mark your calendars for Faculty Advisor Appreciation Week!
This week is all about celebrating our amazing faculty advisors, who invest significant amounts of hard work, time, and energy to make our Key Club experience truly special. From helping to plan events to taking us to DCON, they are the backbone of our Key Clubs, and they deserve all the recognition in the world!
To show our appreciation, we encourage all of you to plan some fun activities during your club meetings! Here are a few ideas:
- Encourage Key Club members to write thoughtful thank you notes to the faculty advisor. Then, surprise your advisor with the notes at your next meeting!
- Create a video with member testimonials about all the amazing things your faculty advisor has done, and how it has impacted members and the community.
- Plan and host a celebration for your faculty advisor. Include fun games, posters, thank you notes, and more! You can always ask your local Kiwanis for any funds needed for the celebration.
These are just a few ideas, so we encourage you to brainstorm even more.
Let’s show our advisors how much we appreciate them! Also, keep an eye out for an exciting post on the PNW Key Club Instagram page.
Let’s make Faculty Advisor Appreciation Week one to remember!
