Hello, PNW Key Club!
As we begin a new school year, I know many of us are already feeling the stress that comes with classes, activities, college applications, and figuring out what comes next. As a senior myself, I understand how overwhelming this time can be. Remember that you do not have to handle it all alone. Check in on your friends, support your fellow officers, and don’t be afraid to ask for help. Key Club is more than service, it is a community.
This year, our District Project goal is to match service and donations with our membership. We are aiming to contribute 11,667 service hours and $11,667 to Ronald McDonald House Charities. Every member has the opportunity to contribute one hour and one dollar toward supporting families receiving medical care. As dues season begins, invite your friends to join that community and help your club grow. And if your club has a service project in mind, don’t forget about the Pacific Northwest Opportunities Fund (PWNOF), which provides $100-$1,000 grants to help make service projects possible. This year, there are plenty of opportunities to grow and serve together.

2026-2027 Project Pledges
As Key Club officers, you have the opportunity to lead your club in making a real difference this year through our District Project supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC)!
Our district goal is 11,667 service hours and $11,667 in donations, one hour and one dollar for every member of PNW Key Club. Now, we need each club to set its own goal and create a plan to get there.
Take the Project Pledge
Officers, please work with your club to complete the 2026-2027 Project Pledge. You’ll be asked to:
- Set a monetary donation goal
- Set a service-hour goal
- Share how your club plans to reach those goals
We recommend setting goals equal to or greater than your current club membership. Think about fundraisers, RMHC service opportunities, and other creative ways your club can contribute!
Your club’s pledge is more than a number. It is a commitment to your community.
District Project Contributions Form
Officers, please use the District Project Contributions Form to report your club’s service hours and monetary contributions toward Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) throughout the year.
Whenever your club completes service or makes a donation toward RMHC, please submit the form so we can accurately track your club’s contributions and recognize the impact you are making!
Want to donate directly? Monetary contributions should be made through the PNW Key Club Shop. After donating, make sure to submit the Contributions Form so your club receives credit for its donation.
Opens Soon: PNWOF
The Pacific Northwest Opportunity Fund (PNWOF) is a district-wide grant program where dues-paid clubs can apply for partial funding assistance for specific, high-impact service projects that benefit the District Project (Ronald McDonald House Charities) or their community. PNWOF grants range from $100 to $1,000 and can cover up to two-thirds of the service project’s expenses.
Applications for PNWOF open on September 1st, 2026, and close on October 31st, 2026. Now is the time to begin thinking about potential projects! You can check out the 2025-2026 successful PNWOF service project recipients on our website. Join us for our upcoming PNWOF webinar on September 17th, 2026, at 7:00 PM to hear from past club grant recipients and learn more about PNWOF!
Back to School Service Projects
As we head back to school, many of us are getting back into busy schedules filled with classes, extracurriculars, sports, and other commitments. With so much going on, it can be easy to put service on the back burner. However, even with a busy schedule, there are always ways to give back and stay involved in your community.
Some of my recommendations for getting involved this school year include:
Volunteering with the American Red Cross means supporting communities across the Pacific Northwest that have been affected by recent PNW fires
Getting involved with Schoolhouse means tutoring and supporting fellow students with difficult academic courses
If you are looking for additional service opportunities, reach out to and/or visit your sponsoring Kiwanis Club. They can be a great resource for finding local organizations and projects to get involved with throughout the school year.
Available District Leadership Opportunities
We are pleased to report that nearly all divisions are served by Lieutenant Governors. However, we still need your help! Lieutenant Governors are vital to the health of each Key Club division, as they create a critical connection between the club and district levels. Clubs in divisions that are not served by a Lieutenant Governor lack a consistent source of relevant updates, resources, and leadership.
The following divisions do not currently have a 2026-2027 Lieutenant Governor:

- Division 52
- Division 74
- Division 78
- Division 80
- Division 82
