Biweekly Update #17

Hello, PNW Key Club!

Happy holidays! I hope you enjoyed a fantastic Thanksgiving. I am excited to see the many holiday-themed service projects Key Clubbers participate in this season.

In my first Biweekly Update, I discussed my goals to foster Growth, Integrated K-Fam efforts, a more Valuable member experience, an Energized District Project, and a foundation of Service. This month, I am excited to report on the progress of fulfilling these goals, and I am immensely proud to report that the District Board GIVES its all to support every Key Clubber in our Pacific Northwest community.

This year, the district MGRC has launched an ambitious membership campaign, identifying goals that are optimistic, but attainable. By offering unique incentives, I am excited to see the growth that we continue to foster together.

On the District Board, we are emphasizing attendance of Kiwanis DCMs and close collaboration with Kiwanis LTGs. These actions help us further integrate Kiwanis-Family efforts into a more cohesive changemaking force. Meanwhile, LTGs continue working hard to visit their sponsoring Kiwanis Clubs.

Regarding Kiwanis Club visits, I encourage each member and club officer to consider visiting their own sponsoring Kiwanis Club. This can be a valuable experience to learn about the hard work Kiwanians invest in improving our communities. Just like Key Clubbers, Kiwanians share a passion for service and impact, so please take a moment to review the K-Fam Directory and contact your sponsoring Kiwanis Club. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out!

Improving the value of membership experience is my primary purpose. The District Board continues to produce resources and provide vital support in pursuit of an improved membership experience. In addition, the Executive Committee has launched a new system of measuring webinar attendance to help current and future Key Club leaders enhance the quality of PNW Key Club programming. Other initiatives, such as Key Club Days, remain a staple for improving the value of Key Club membership, while an emphasis on in-person programming will ultimately establish even greater value as some aspects of our organization continue to rebound from the virtual nature of the COVID-19 pandemic.

To energize the District Project, our District Project Committee has collaborated to launch the RMHC Hero Campaign and the new-and-improved District Project Toolkit. Be sure to review these materials using the links below!

Finally, service remains the core principle of Key Club. The District Board has worked hard to continue serving Key Club members throughout our district, empowering them to create change and equipping them with the tools they need to achieve their goals.

This holiday season, I hope that we can all continue giving our all!
