Biweekly Update #24

Hello, PNW Key Clubbers!

I hope you had the opportunity to join us in Portland, Oregon for our 76th Annual District Convention! This event marks the peak of our transition into the 2026-2027 service year. Club officers should be preparing to step into their roles. Included in this Biweekly Update are resources for these incoming club officers! Meanwhile, club members should log any remaining volunteer hours for the year.

I also hope that you are preparing to celebrate the 2025-2026 service year! Banquets and potlucks can be exciting events to conclude the year, providing an opportunity to celebrate the year’s accomplishments and express gratitude for the members, officers, advisors, and others who helped achieve your goals.

It has been an excellent year, Pacific Northwest Key Club, so I hope you are able to celebrate and remain inspired as we enter the next one!

In Care and Service,
Gavin Ahumada

MGRC Toolkit

Are you aware of the Membership, Growth, and Reactivation Committee’s Toolkit? The link below will redirect you to a Google Drive with a TON of information about membership growth, including pamphlets, flyers, promotional tips, membership growth strategies, and handbooks. Be sure to check out the toolkit to be the Key to Membership in your club!

Membership Survey

As a student-led organization, Key Club International wants to hear from you. Members, officers, and advisors are invited to complete a brief survey to share ideas, perspectives, and goals that will help strengthen the Key Club experience. Your input matters! Feedback from stakeholders is the most crucial factor in enabling our organization to continue growing and strengthening.

Key Leader

With a mission to inspire young people to achieve their personal best through servant leadership, Key Leader helps students find their fit. A weekend leadership program for high school and graduating 8th-grade students, Key Leader programs provide a life-changing experience, and are organized and led by teams of volunteers dedicated to the development of youth and servant leadership.

Dates are set, and registration is open for Key Leader events taking place worldwide this spring and summer!

Club Officer Resources

As new club officers prepare to lead their clubs, they can refer to helpful officer guides that list responsibilities and describe each officer role. Access these resources using the link below!

Key Club Walks is almost here!

In April 2026, we’re challenging you and everyone in your club to walk 3.75 miles and to raise $25 to give one person clean water for LIFE. The district that raises the most money will receive a special prize at the International Convention 2026!

Global Leadership Certificate Master Class

The GLC Master Class is back to help Key Clubbers expand their leadership through interactive, intentional activities that foster critical thinking about our leadership style. Participants will learn more about GLC topics, such as connection, public speaking, networking, inclusion, feedback, being an agent of change, and other essential leadership ideas. Through the GLC Master Class, Key Clubbers can prepare to make a greater difference in their communities.

For a list of eligibility requirements, review the application now and submit it by May 27, 2026!

Available District Leadership Opportunities

We are pleased to report that nearly all divisions are served by Lieutenant Governors. However, we still need your help! Lieutenant Governors are vital to the health of each Key Club division, as they create a critical connection between the club and district levels. Clubs in divisions that are not served by a Lieutenant Governor lack a consistent source of relevant updates, resources, and leadership.

The following divisions do not currently have a 2026-2027 Lieutenant Governor:

  • Division 9
  • Division 20i
  • Division 20m
  • Division 22/24
  • Division 30
  • Division 42v
  • Division 45
  • Division 50
  • Division 52
  • Division 74
  • Division 76
  • Division 78
  • Division 80

If you or anyone you know is from one of these divisions and is interested in serving as a Lieutenant Governor during the 2026-2027 service year, please contact me at governor@pnwkeyclub.org or District Administrator Brian Egger at administrator@pnwkeyclub.org. Serving on the District Board is an incredible experience that provides opportunities to create change and develop as a leader.
