Hello, PNW Key Club!
As the summer continues, embrace curiosity and seek out opportunities that challenge you to grow. Whether it’s volunteering in your community, developing a new skill, attending a leadership program, taking on a summer job, or simply stepping outside your comfort zone, make the most of these next few weeks. Every experience, big or small, has the potential to teach you something new about yourself and the impact you can have on others.
Growth doesn’t always happen in a classroom or during the school year. Some of the most valuable lessons come from serving alongside new people, trying something you’ve never done before, or saying “yes” to an opportunity that feels just a little intimidating. These experiences build confidence, resilience, and leadership qualities that will benefit you long after summer ends.
You only get four summer breaks during high school, and they pass by faster than you think. Use this time to invest in yourself, strengthen your character, and create memories that will last a lifetime. When the school year begins again, you’ll return not only refreshed but more prepared to serve your clubs, your schools, and your communities than ever before.
I’m incredibly excited to represent the Pacific Northwest District at this year’s International Convention in Dallas, Texas. Many of your peers and I look forward to learning from Key Club leaders from around the world, bringing back new ideas to strengthen our district, and sharing updates with all of you when I return. Thank you for continuing to make the Pacific Northwest a district defined by service, leadership, and excellence. Have a wonderful rest of your summer, and I’ll see you all again soon!

What’s up Key Club!
It is an honor to be writing to you all. My name is Jason Lovestedt, President of the Bremerton High School Key Club in Division 36. I am very excited to collaborate with Lawrence on this Biweekly update! He and I just returned from a busy week at the Evergreen Boys and Girls State program, where I had the chance to shadow him and contribute to this work. Why? Because that’s what servant leaders do.
The fact that I can have such a strong connection with our District Governor while serving as just a club president speaks to one of Key Club’s greatest strengths. At the end of the day, we’re all students working toward the same mission. A title may come with additional responsibilities, but it should never create barriers. No matter your position, you can build meaningful relationships with leaders at every level of the organization.
Overall, I hope you all have an excellent summer and find great service opportunities to give back to our community. Maybe I’ll see you at Key Club Day North!

If your division is not listed above, you will still be included in the Key Club Day fun! Your Lieutenant Governor will be hosting an off-site Key Club Day event on the same day as either Key Club Day North or Key Club Day South.

Summer Responsibilities of a Club Officer
It’s very easy to tuck Key Club in the back of your mind now that summer has fully started. And while yes, a break is important, it is also important to stay involved with your Key Club and its members! Here are some general ideas to help your summer stay productive!
- Hosting club summer picnics/meetups
- Making goals and planning out events for the next school year
- Reading up on Key Club 101
- Attending your local Kiwanis Meetings (more information below)
- Coordinate with local schools to start a Builders Club or K-Kids Club (more information below)

Summer Service Projects
This summer, many of us will be traveling, participating in extracurricular programs, taking internships, and more. And whether you may have a booked summer full of opportunities, or a load of downtime, service is one of the greatest ways you can use your time to build relationships, participate actively in your community, and give back. Some of my recommendations to get involved this summer include:

Now that you have some extra time on your hands as the school year has come to a close, make sure you use some of that time to make a difference and positively impact your community! One of the best ways to open up opportunities, build valuable connections, and serve is to connect with each branch of your local Kiwanis Family! You can work with local elementary and middle schools to charter K-Kids and Builders Clubs or contact your nearby Kiwanis Club and serve together. Logo Design Contest for DCON 2027
As the DCON Committee begins to rev their engines and plan an unforgettable weekend, they need YOUR help to design it. The official logo design contest is now open and will remain open until Sunday, August 2nd at 11:59 PM PT. This is your chance to leave a mark on the district and earn a FREE DCON registration. Officer Training Conference Feedback Survey
Officers! Have you recently attended your division’s Officer Training Conference? If you have, please complete a quick survey about your experience at the conference. Your responses will help us improve Officer Training Conferences in future years!
Please note that this survey is only intended for officers who have attended an Officer Training Conference in May or June 2026.
Available District Leadership Opportunities
We are pleased to report that nearly all divisions are served by Lieutenant Governors. However, we still need your help! Lieutenant Governors are vital to the health of each Key Club division, as they create a critical connection between the club and district levels. Clubs in divisions that are not served by a Lieutenant Governor lack a consistent source of relevant updates, resources, and leadership.
The following divisions do not currently have a 2026-2027 Lieutenant Governor:

- Division 22/24
- Division 42v
- Division 45
- Division 50
- Division 52
- Division 74
- Division 78

- Division 82
