Hello, Pacific Northwest Key Club!
I hope you’re all enjoying a wonderful summer! As we continue through July, I’ve been reflecting on what it means to serve not only our schools and communities but also our nation.
This year marks the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, a reminder that the United States was built by people who believed they could make a difference. President John F. Kennedy captured that idea when he said, “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.” As Key Club members, we exemplify those words each time we volunteer, lead a service project, support a fundraiser, or lend a helping hand to someone in need. Service is one of the greatest ways we can strengthen our communities and honor the values our nation was founded upon.
As we celebrate this historic milestone, I encourage you to continue finding new ways to serve this summer. No act of service is too small, and every effort helps create a brighter future for us and those around us.

If you are a member of Division 42c, 42v, 44, 45, 62, 64, 65, 66, 70, or 72, YOU ARE INVITED to Key Club Day South at Oaks Park on Saturday, August 22, 2025.
If your division is not listed above, you will still be included in the Key Club Day fun! Your Lieutenant Governor will be hosting an off-site Key Club Day event on the same day as either Key Club Day North or Key Club Day South.
Key Club Days Virtual Kickoff
Start your Key Club Days experience by connecting with members from across the Pacific Northwest! Join us on Wednesday, August 19 at 7:00 PM for our FREE Virtual Kick-Off, featuring inspiring keynote speakers, engaging workshops, and opportunities to network with Key Clubs from throughout the PNW District. This event is a great way to gain new ideas, build friendships, and get excited about the year ahead.
Whether you’re attending Key Club Day North or South in person or simply looking to get involved from home, everyone is welcome to participate. We hope to see you online
Coming up: PNWOF
The Pacific Northwest Opportunity Fund (PNWOF) is a district-wide grant program where dues-paid clubs can apply for partial funding assistance for specific, high-impact service projects that benefit the District Project (Ronald McDonald House Charities) or their community. PNWOF grants range from $100 to $1,000 and can cover up to two-thirds of the service project’s expenses.
Applications for PNWOF open on September 1st, 2026, and close on October 31st, 2026. Now is the time to begin thinking about potential projects! You can check out the 2025-2026 successful PNWOF service project recipients on our website. Join us for our upcoming PNWOF webinar on September 17th, 2026, at 7:00 PM to hear from past club grant recipients and learn more about PNWOF!
Summer Responsibilities of a Club Officer
It’s very easy to tuck Key Club in the back of your mind now that summer has fully started. And while yes, a break is important, it is also important to stay involved with your Key Club and its members! Here are some general ideas to help your summer stay productive!
- Hosting club summer picnics/meetups
- Making goals and planning out events for the next school year
- Reading up on Key Club 101
- Attending your local Kiwanis Meetings (more information below)
- Coordinate with local schools to start a Builders Club or K-Kids Club (more information below)

Summer Service Projects
This summer, many of us will be traveling, participating in extracurricular programs, taking internships, and more. And whether you may have a booked summer full of opportunities, or a load of downtime, service is one of the greatest ways you can use your time to build relationships, participate actively in your community, and give back. Some of my recommendations to get involved this summer include:

Logo Design Contest for DCON 2027
As the DCON Committee begins to rev their engines and plan an unforgettable weekend, they need YOUR help to design it. The official logo design contest is now open and will remain open until Sunday, August 2nd at 11:59 PM PT. This is your chance to leave a mark on the district and earn a FREE DCON registration. Your design will be featured on T-shirts, pins, tote bags, and much more. We look forward to seeing what you create!
Officer Training Conference Feedback Survey
Officers! Have you recently attended your division’s Officer Training Conference? If you have, please complete a quick survey about your experience at the conference. Your responses will help us improve Officer Training Conferences in future years!
Please note that this survey is only intended for officers who have attended an Officer Training Conference in May or June 2026.
Available District Leadership Opportunities
We are pleased to report that nearly all divisions are served by Lieutenant Governors. However, we still need your help! Lieutenant Governors are vital to the health of each Key Club division, as they create a critical connection between the club and district levels. Clubs in divisions that are not served by a Lieutenant Governor lack a consistent source of relevant updates, resources, and leadership.
The following divisions do not currently have a 2026-2027 Lieutenant Governor:

- Division 20m
- Division 22/24
- Division 42v
- Division 45
- Division 50
- Division 52
- Division 74
- Division 78
- Division 80
- Division 82
