On June 30th, I had the opportunity to visit one of the hospitals (Doernbecher) that KCCP directly supports with the executive board, in Portland, OR. The tour was started off with a warm introduction from Tom and Victoria, both who work at Doernbecher. We then made our way up to the ninth floor where we met 2 fellows that were funded through KCCP. They gave us a tour around the facility, and it was such a great experience. We are helping fuel a new change in science, and we were able to meet those very people who we support to make a difference within children’s cancer.
