Kodiak Key Club is a pretty small club and the other officers and I wanted to be able to get more people to join. We challenged our current club members to invite and bring a friend to the next meeting. As Kodiak Key Club officers, we were kind of evil and decided to come up with a punishment for the people who did not invite anyone. We created posters such as, “I have shamed my Key Club Family” and “I was too lazy and disappointed President Kelsey” We had even included pictures of our president on the poster. At the next meeting, many members were surprised but laughed at the idea and still went along with it. Some officers, and even our very own advisor did not bring a new person to the meeting and ended up with the punishment they themselves had created. In the end, we all had fun, gained new members, and enjoyed watching people take photos.
