Hazen High School was awarded $600 to fund their blanket-making project. Over 40 volunteers from Hazen Key Club made over 40 tie blankets using money granted from the PNWOF to purchase necessary fabric and supplies. In order to accommodate the COVID guidelines, they created a pick-up and drop-off station around their school for students to receive their materials and turn in their finished blankets. These blankets were donated to Mary’s Place, an inclusive homeless shelter for women, children, and families in Seattle.
