This last November, Southridge High School Key Club took the honor of helping two needy families within our school by donating the goods needed for their Thanksgiving meals. Almost all of our members signed up to bring one or more items to give. We gave them basic Thanksgiving meal staples such as a turkey, pumpkin pie, and several ingredients. The day we brought the goods to these families, their faces lit up with joy. To see these families made our hearts swell with happiness. They were so thankful for these gifts. Being in Key Club has made me especially thankful for the opportunity to help others within my community. It truly makes me feel as if I am in another family. Each of us are always there to lend a hand when we need it most.
