Attached is a photo taken by our advisor from Key Club’s latest service project this year: Trunk or Treat. Six Key Clubbers, including our president Lily Clancy and myself, are pictured in front of our space-themed car getting ready for all of the kids to come trick or treat. Key Club alone had a total of 17 members help participate in the event- 13 from our school and 4 from a neighboring high school that is just staring out. Trunk or Treat is a great Key Club sponsored event because it brings all of Wa-Hi’s clubs together with Walla Walla’s children and families in order to collect canned food for our local food bank. We had a great turn out this year! A total of 120 high school volunteers came out to support the event, over 500 kids came to trick or treat, and we were able to donate 599 pounds of food to the Blue Mountain Food Bank. Trunk or Treat is a fun annual event that both benefits a worthy cause and unites our school and local communities.
